Crazy little thing called LOVe
I want to talk about something new :")
by Persis Flores on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 10:28am
LOVE <3
Love isn't new. But, we can make it new just by exploring that word...that word can take you places; can make you dream; can make you restful...and maybe, even fall asleep...with sweet dreams, eh? But scratching the surface doesn't make it the real love. It is being IN it...
I was reminded that "My LOVE" was the most abused person in the world! Oh, how i ran back to Him because of His eternal love for me...for us! My Love, Jesus, died for us...HE died for us...His great love scattered just as His blood on the cross.....and then, He died...yet, as He promised, Jesus rose from the dead! and yes, He's alive and we can enjoy His presence now! What an awesome idea Lord! *high-five for that! :))))
By the way, almost everyday i am seeing people going in and out of love; diving in and out of it; and sometimes, just swims, flows, and muddles in it as they live for their lifetime motto: Just go with the flow.
I have questions:
WHAT flows? WHERE did the FLOW came from? can we stop this FLOW? If this can be stopped, HOW? If this can't be stopped, WHY?
I'm not about to talk based on my experience, since, I have nothing to talk about at all. Talk about AWESOME! Well, seriously...
So, yes again, who am I to talk about human love when i just don't know about it........that much?? I know, I know the love that runs naturally in our blood - for God, for our family, for our dogs, for our hairstyle, coffee and books...but, let's talk about this certain love that people had been looking for ages... *goosebumps*
I am always heart-broken whenever i see pregnant teenagers, fighting couples, shallow mindsets, three-day relationships as if they'd just been attached with each other during their vacation...and after the "good times" they split apart, let alone the thing they call as "one-night stand"...the worse proof of "once love" scenario that I've EVER seen so far was...er...actually, were KIDS (majority were minor in age) distributing empty envelopes inside our public vehicles - jeepneys, while expecting us, the passengers, to put something IN it...the parents' belief that "the children is our treasure" makes a nonsense a sense after all......SAD. :'( These kids, i mean, where are their parents? If they produced these kids out of love, why are they treating them almost like punishing them?
I've been thinking a lot these past few days about this topic. And writing about love just makes me look up at the sky more and look blankly to people as i brainstorm with myself...i am wishing for the rain to pour for a dramatic effect... <3
I have concluded as my first-hand evidence that love has an equation before and during the commitment. Yet, love has no equation at all...we can say it just happens, yet, it isn't a happening. Commitment is a decision; a conclusion made by two people trying to SOLVE their feelings for each other, and it is never a happening but, it is an event that the two subjects want to happen. Love is not struggling. If you like the person, just show it, if not tell it. What works for you to show love isn't a problem. What makes it a problem is when you don't become yourself because you've been so focused on "What shall i wear so he/she will like me? What shall i say? How will i say it?" and so on, and so forth...
The equation of love is not about:
-the right dress/outfit at the right time and place
-the right words at the right time and place
-the right family, religion, affiliations
-the right work
-the right salary
Well, as you can see as much as i presume, a person's outside appearance and "extra curricula" isn't the variable X in the love equation. If you think you should read more of this, these are the most important:
-love (scratch the goosebumps here. this love (i think) is what you feel for the person despite of his outside imperfections. You see, we have the tendency of loving the person first, if he/she has the right outside appearance (just like what i mentioned above)
-loyalty (this person is loyal to you. as simple as that. Yes he/she can break 2 out of the 5 promises he/she said, but, make sure it's NOT 4 out of 5! WTH.
-honesty (hate it when he/she lies like 4 minutes within your five minutes! Tip: the person is not lying if he/she can look straight in your eyes, is not perspiring and doesn't look around and sounds like a dog's chasing him/her!)
Yet, with all these presumptions i therefore conclude that the love equation becomes unnecessary, when the person spills the milk. The milk is something you've been carrying from the past, but this one doesn't get spoiled...It just smells spoiled. This milk, i must say, might be your secrets; hurts; fears; addiction; sickness...The worse thing that could happen as your milk got spilled was the "non-acceptance" of the other person (the one you love) on that mess...it is up to you when you will spill your milk...as long as you will be reminded that the reaction of your gal/guy will either lengthen or shorten and even cease your relationship...but i'm not saying you SHALL never spill the milk. We always have spilled milks in our lives. It's just the right timing. It's not like the "love at first sight" thing that acts on the "right time..."
Love is true when, despite your spilled milk, your loved one cleans it and embraces you after...
i think this is hanging. haha.
anyways, what do you think?
comments please, dears :) <3

At 14.....Nanay na si NeNe
"Ang Mga Dalagita ng Sapang Kawayan"
most girls are
probably on their first crush, first date, first puppy love. Around this
age, girls take their first awkward step into womanhood.
young girls experience physical changes brought about by adolescence. At
this young age, they are perhaps only starting to learn how to become a
woman.
But in this coastal community in Masantol Pampanga, at 14, there are girls who have taken humungous leaps into motherhood. At this young age, these girls are either pregnant or have already given birth.
Sapang Kawayan is a small village in Masantol Pampanga. At first glance one would think there is nothing extraordinary about this town. But upon closer inspection, the hard truth reveals itself -- many mothers in the village are actually girls.
This Women's Month, Kara David visits Sapang Kawayan to find out why these young girls take the early and difficult road to motherhood.

This Video is one of my favorite Documentary “"Ang
Mga Dalagita ng Sapang Kawayan" presented by I-witness of GMA-7
Kapuso Network hosted by Ms. Kara David in this segment. I salute to the researchers
who come up the story. Honestly I was shock when Ms.Kara introduces the place.
I dunno the place yet so that night exactly 12 midnight when the segment aired.
I’ll watch because this is very interesting topic related to my thesis.
In this video one of commentator of the youtube
owner react how the small island like Sapang kawayan suffering on the problem especially
to the children of the said place.
Video comment:
This is the top level of Bad Parenting which has
become a state of mind of Sapang Kawayan's community.
What's worse is that, there’s a chain of reasons
why this is happening.
No Highschool Education + No Parish Preist +
Poverty.
Government is also to blame, all previous
government.
I agree this comment; one of the main problems to
this place is no more opportunity to offer by the government and also to the tradition
by the people of Sapang kawayan.
"sabi nga na nakakatanda sa lugar na ito kapag 18
ka nah ikaw daw ay napag iwanan ng panahon."
this is the hardest part of the story........

Venerate
"Lola"
by; Brilliante Mendoza
"One senseless crime will bring two women endless suffering"
Synopsis:
two elderly women bear the consequences of a crime involving their respective grandson.Lola Sepa's ( Anita Linda) grandson killed by a cellphone snatcher and Lola Puring's ( Rustica Carpio) grandson is a suspect.Lola Sepa files a formal complaint to the police and wades through the bad weather to collect money for the burial and court hearing.meanwhile,Lola Puring is advised by a pro-bono lawyer to work for an amicable settlement since the criminal case is non-bailable.in the midst of the storm,Lola Puring solicits money to offer Lola Sepa, hoping that the grieving woman will accept and that her misguided grandson will eventually reform himself
Ms.Anita was very good, it’s very natural actress
in terms of acting, she deserve to won Best Actress at last Falmas film
festival 2010 together with Ms. Rustica Carpio,I liked the scene when Lola
Puring and Lola Sepa deal with the issue and give the money for the sake of
grandson freedom and also the director shows the tradition of the people in the Philippines its either positive or negative issue.
Mr. Mendoza is one of my favorite Directors in
the Philippines.
Mendoza plays
this film in an exciting way, dealing with heartache and beating through the
strength of two elderly matriarchs. One deals with it buy accepting and moving
on, the other ignores and manufactures her perfect family.
Lola is highly acceptable to our Pilipino audiences.
Introduction the fates of the families in the Filipino justice system in the philippines
but never shows the result. They seem unimportant to the film as if they are insignificant
to seeking justice.Mr. Mendoza
has created a work of art.

Is English Proficiency in the Philippines is good?
Just recently, US-based English training and testing institution Education First came out with an English proficiency ranking report of 44 countries, apparently the first to be released.
Of the Asian countries that were included in the report Malaysia had
the highest English proficiency index (EPI) of 55.54, a "high
proficiency" level, and is ranked 9th.
Despite an industry that offers English-based outsourcing services,
the Philippines was not included in the ranking. Already, the ranking
report has received some criticism especially among Filipinos.
But the absence of the Philippines does not mean that the country is
faring lower than Kazakhstan, which ranked 44th with a "very low"
English proficiency EPI of 31.75.
An email reply from Eric Feng, an executive from EF's Hong Kong office,
explained that there was insufficient data to render a ranking for the Philippines.
This data is the number of EF test takers per country from 2007 to
2009 and the minimum limit to be part of the ranking is 400 test takers.
In addition, countries with less than 100 test takers per two or more
tests offered by EF per country were excluded.
Simply put, there were only a few Filipinos that took EF's exams.
Consider also that EF does not have an office in the Philippines, thus
it is more difficult for the company to provide testing and acquire
data.
Feng also said that he cannot speak about the possibility of
including the Philippines in their future rankings. "But I should have a
clearer idea three to four months from now," he said.
This methodology was also disclosed in their full report, which also
stated that there were 2,368,730 test takers that were included in the
ranking.
But even without an English proficiency ranking for the Philippines,
the country still enjoys a good English speaking population, as
represented by half a million English-proficient employees of the US$8.9
billion business process outsourcing industry".

One of the commentator of that article who analyse the reason of what television and social networking affects specially to the children regarding that issue.
Here are the following.
1. Cartoons, movies and other kiddie programs aired on TV are now dubbed in Filipino.
2. Habitual use of SMS shortcuts, tweets, etc. with mixed dialects are often adapted in school especially in sentence construction and grammar use. Note also the use of styles like "jejemon".
3. Lack of proficient English teachers. Sadly, many high school graduates today especially from the public school can't even write a perfect sentence or paragraph. Many would have difficulty in understanding English statements. It may reflect that teachers are not that efficient or effective nowadays.
4. Too much exposure of technolo----. Kids today are lazy over school projects. While we use to make summary of a book that was read, kids would rather look up in the internet, and use the "copy and paste technique". Surprisingly, the teachers wouldn't even bother to check its content.
5. Educators has introduced many methodolo---- of teaching subjects at school claiming that it would improve the student's capability of learning at the shortest possible time. Many shortcuts were introduced in every new curriculum. But they forgot the basic: that learning takes time and lots of practice.
