Summer is spelled B.O.R.A.C.A.Y. in the Philippines.
Believe it or not! This is not a sign of illiteracy, I suppose? But you see,
whenever the heat hits the beige-skinned Filipinos, they were suddenly reminded
(like a growling stomach reminds a salivacating and dehydrating mouth for food)
that they need to go to BORA (the aka of Boracay)… Actually, it’s not really
“they need to go there”, it just “happens”. Of course, Filipinos are well known
for putting their money where it is worth the pay. Filipinos grew in this
environment of getting the job done before Friday because of their usual
T.G.I.F.’s…but I have a secret to reveal. I don’t want you to go to BORA!
Here’s my appeal:
First, Boracay is too relaxing that if you haven’t finished your work, you
can’t do it here, just like what workaholics do: working during their
vacations…AND, You’ll be distracted by its paradise atmosphere, breath-taking
crystal-clear water and endless sand and water activities like volleyball and
jet-skiing and whatever you prefer to do. And by the way, don’t forget the
night parties there. You’ll be so distracted, you won’t even look out for its
pictures in Google.
Secondly, Boracay is that famous that you’ll be annoyed because you can still have “the time of your life” there. How come? Boracay is not a crowded place and you can do whatever you want, without people looking out for you, and with people who wants privacy like me…if you don’t want it. So, if you want to enjoy by yourself, you can go here…and find someone to enjoy the “time of your lives”… But, you see, looking for someone is too adventurous and actually, too given in that kind of place, because, anyone who steps in that place is a family for Filipinos…and due to this tradition, even for the foreigners. Actually, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie went to this place. So, basically, Boracay is too hot, you’ll get burned.
Thirdly, like in Julia Roberts’ Eat Pray Love movie, you’ll totally feel it here in Boracay. Hands-down to that. I actually thought that Eat Pray Love will have their movie’s shooting in Boracay. If you don’t want exposure and you’re not that curious enough to go there, don’t go. You’ll just hurt yourself for trying to have the best relaxation; the best adventure; the best quencher for a curious mind that Filipinos “just knew” can be found here in this paradise.
I don't want you to have the time of your life, even though that's so cliché to tell for my role here as your antagonist. Yet, that actually describes it all. Boracay will give you the time of your life.

To give you my last punchline:
"This place is so much of regret for you, let alone work, if you'll not visit it."
